The Soul of Craftsmanship — Toyota Museum & Noritake Garden
What makes this tour special
The Toyota Automobile Museum isn't a brand showroom — it traces the whole story of the motor car, from brass-era pioneers to the cars your parents drove. The collection is beautifully kept, and you're free to take your time.
On the site where Noritake started making porcelain over a hundred years ago, the old red-brick factory buildings now hold a craft center and galleries, set in open green grounds. It's a calm, surprising pocket of the city.
Between the two, lunch. Nagoya has its own food culture, and this is the moment to try it — rich grilled eel over rice, or pork cutlet under sweet miso. Your call.

Overview
Two homes of Japanese craftsmanship in one day — the Toyota Automobile Museum and Noritake Garden — with a plate of Nagoya's own food in between.
If you like the idea of seeing where things are actually made, this is your day. Aichi is the workshop of Japan — Toyota grew up here, and so did Noritake — and the two museums sit close enough together to do both without rushing.
You get a couple of hours among a hundred years of cars, a proper Nagoya lunch in between, and then the quiet red-brick world of Noritake. We handle the driving and the doors; you just take it in.
- Great for: design and engineering fans, curious travellers, families
- Good to know: lunch is on your own so you can choose what you fancy — we'll point you to the good stuff
- Travelling solo? This price is for two or more — ask us and we'll quote a one-person rate
We pick you up from your hotel, a station in Nagoya, or Chubu Centrair Airport, and head out for the day.
Around two hours to wander on your own among cars from the early 1900s to the present — Japanese, American and European, not only Toyotas. A real treat even if you're not a car person.
We stop for lunch and you pick the Nagoya specialty you've been curious about — hitsumabushi (grilled eel) or miso-katsu are the usual favourites.
About an hour and a half at the birthplace of Noritake porcelain — the red-brick buildings, the craft center and the green grounds in the middle of the city.
Back to your hotel, station or the airport, whichever suits your plans.
